With Marquis Spas® and Leisure Pools to grant 13-year Audrey’s wish.
Floresville Girl Ready for Cool Time with Hot Tub Wish
March 4, 2009 — San Antonio, TX. More than anything in the entire world, Audrey wanted her very own hot tub. Courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central & South Texas and with help from Marquis Spas and Leisure Pools, Audrey’s wish was granted just a few weeks ago. Leisure Pools is one of the many spa dealerships working with Marquis Spas across the country helping to make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Leisure Pools’ crew of Tyler Townsend and Scott Vitek teamed up with Marquis Spas’ representative Danny Skiff to deliver the hot tub. Their contribution is part of the national In the Spirit of a Wish program, created by Marquis Spas to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundationâ chapters across the country. As the preferred provider for Make-A-Wish hot tub wishes, Marquis Spas has helped grant more than 350 wishes since 2000.
“Marquis Spas and Leisure Pools are really making a difference in Audrey’s life by helping to grant her hot tub wish,” said Angie Castilleja, Director of Program Services of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central & South Texas “This will help Audrey and her family enjoy hours and hours of quality time together at home and give Audrey moments to be a carefree kid, without the worries of her illness.”
In the Spirit of a Wish was inspired by Andrea’s wish nearly a decade ago. When the Make-A-Wish Foundation approached Marquis Spas about helping to grant Andrea’s wish in 2000, the company was more than eager to oblige. Her wish inspired Marquis Spas to help with similar wishes; so far the partnership has generated more than $1.6 million in spa donations and discounts for the Foundation. Marquis dealers nationwide are involved in granting wishes.
